Sweet tomato relish
Tip
Depending on how plump and juicy your tomatoes are you may require a little more cornflour - if so, mix a little cornflour with a little water and cook for another 10 mins.
Great on sandwiches and wraps.
Depending on individual tastes reduce the sugar or replace some with dates or sultanas. Add some chilli for some kick.

Just like Grandma used to make .... recipe has lots of flavour .
Definitely a keeper and will make again
just added a paste of 1 extra tablespoon of cornflour
Really good
I know everyone loves this recipe but I found it a bit boring. Not as spicy as my usual. Ok with cheese on crackers but not outstanding. Cut down liquid and added less sugar as others had stated. Definitely needed more cornflour to thicken.

Perfect!!!
Delicious on sour dough with avocado, bacon and poached eggs!
Awesome and very tasty!
So good! I reduced the liquid and sugar and it’s the perfect consistency.
This worked out great! I only added 250g sugar and that was sweet enough for me.
My father owns a fruit and veg farm and tomatoes were in abundance so thought I would give this a go and use up some of the Tomatoes.. We used the ripest of the tomatoes and stuck to the recipe (only using Keens Curry instead).. I did find it was a little runny (used extra cornflour as previously posted) and a little too sweet but then others said it was spot on so it comes down to personal taste Other then maybe reducing the sugar just a little it was amazing!! Thank you for providing such an adjustable recipe going to make my second batch now.. cheers ***** (5 stars)
nicole.foster: you'll find this is from the spices - not the tomatoes! Turmeric usually does it. It does fade and doesn't affect your Thermie. 🙂
