I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
1/ Place Unsalted Peanuts into the jug and chop for 15 seconds/speed 9.
2/ Scrape down the sides.
3/ Add 1 teaspoon of honey & mix for 30 seconds/Speed 7.
4/ Scrape down the sides.
5/ Mix for 45 seconds/Speed 7 for 4 times, scraping down the sides inbetween each mix.
6/ Add 1 teaspoon of honey & Himalyan Salt. Mix for 45 seconds/speed 7 for another 2 times, again, scraping down the sides inbetween.
7/ The peanuts should now been looking blended & have started to become oily. We still have a little further to go.
I now reduce the speed as I'm wanting the peanuts to really blend and become smooth & really oily.
8/ Repeat the follow steps for at least 5 times or until you are happy with the consistency.
Mix for 45 seconds/speed 4. Scraping down the sides again inbetween mixes & adding the final 2 teaspoons of honey to your taste.
Tip
I used organic products with this recipe as that is our families preferance, but it could & can be used with any peanuts, including cashews & almonds.
My daughter is the reason I have created this spread as she is my fussiest eater with us being organic & its was with her input that we have 4 teaspoons of honey, your taste buds may only require 2 or maybe need more than 4. It is all preference to you.
Please note that you may require more smoothness, so keep mixing on the 45 seconds/speed 4 for as long as you prefer ( Note that this recipe does get hot, so you may burn your jug if you go for too much longer).

Recipe is created for
TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

yum so tasty added no honey but a cap full of maple syrup!
Easy and taste great.
Excellent recipe and really tasty. Unfortunately didn't pass the extra fussy kids test though
This makes the bes peanut butter. I luv it. Thank you
Not a problem.. if we can move our kids away from the store bought, I think that's a win, win. I'm thinking of trying the next batch ( without my daughters knowledge) with Rice Malt Syrup. Its sweet but is not sugar. I will let you know when I have given that a go.
Yes, we have, but my daughter hated it. She is the main one to eat it.. I found it needed a little salt, but she tried it one day with honey on her bread & this is where the recipe was born.
yes, I have used it with just peanuts, and my daughter ( she is the main one who eats it) hate it. I also tried it and found it need at least salt.
However, Tess tried that old one with honey one day, and that is where is recipe was born.
this is great to know thankyou
Amanda
Have you ever tried it with just the nuts? I remember i used to buy peanut butter from a health food shop that made it in a machine but they only used peanuts, nothing else.
Mr 11 said the BCB recipe needed more sugar, so this may be the key for my fussy kid too. Thanks!
