Ingredients

Tomato Gravy

  • 750 g beans of your choice, I've used butter, red kidney, lima, chick peas
  • 1 brown onion
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1.5 tsp ground mustard powder
  • 1 tsp Worcester Sauce
  • 150 g tomato puree
  • 1 can chopped tomatoes
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 20 g olive oil

1 tbsp pesto (optional but yummy)

Recipe's preparation

    Gravy / Sauce
  1. Add galic & onion & chop 3 secs / speed 7

    Add olive oil & saute for 3 mins / varoma /speed 1

    Add all the rest of the ingredients & cook for 10 mins / 100 deg / reverse / spoon soft

    The sauce/gravy should be thickish & ready to eat tmrc_emoticons.)

Tip

We eat this as a gravy over our boerewors - but any sausage will do - even with eggs or just on it's own!

If you've cooked boerewors to go with it - use the left over sauce from the meat & add to the beans for extra flavour!
