- 3 leeks, Roughly chopped
- 750 grams water or chicken stock
- 2 heaped tablespoons chicken stock (if using water)
- 1000 grams potatoes, Roughly chopped

1. Place leeks in bowl, chop 5 secs, speed 5.
2.Scrape down sides of the bowl and reapet if necessary.
3. Scrape down sides of bowl. Add Butter, cook 6mins, 100c, speed 1
4. Add potatoes and cook 5mins, 100C, speed 1
5. Add stock, water and cook 20mins, 100C, speed 2 or until
potatoes are soft.
6. Puree slowly increasing the speed from 1-7 for 1-2mins untill smooth.
7. Season with salt to taste.
8. Serve with a generous garnish of parmesan cheese, chives, and perper to taste.
9. Dont forget the crusty bread or toast to serve

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
