Ingredients

Soup

  • 3 shallots, Cut into 4cm pieces
  • 3 cm piece fresh ginger, peeled
  • 30 g olive oil
  • 1 brown onion, Cut in half
  • 2-3 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 1 can 420g creamed corn
  • 1 litre water
  • 1-2 tablespoons TM veg stock or Chicken Stock
  • 150 g Cooked shredded chicken
  • 1 egg, Lightly Beaten

Recipe's preparation

  1. Place Shallots in bowl and chop 1-2 sec /Sp 5. Set aside.

    Place Onion and Ginger in bowl and chop 3sec/Sp 5. Scrape down side of bowl.

    Add oil and Sauté 3 mins / Varoma / sp 1

    Add all remaining ingredients Except Egg but including reserved Shallots, and cook 12-10mins Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" / 100 / Sp1

    Pour into Thermoserver and gently stir through beaten egg until cooked.

Tip

Leave MC off whlie Onion and Ginger are sautéing

    yum i added a tin of corn kernals as well so then only 600 water and this was delicious! loved stirring through the egg in the thermoserver too. well done

    I added rice noodles and didn't have ginger or shallots so added garlic. Great winter soup I could pull together from ingredients I had in my kitchen.
