Ingredients
Vanilla Cake
- 120 g Butter, Roughly chopped
- 2 Eggs.
- 100 g full cream milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 120 g caster sugar
- 150 g Self Raising Flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking Powder (optional)

1. Preheat Oven 180
2. Grease & line a 20 round cake tin
3. Pace butter in mixing bowl and melt 2mins/60/speed 4
4. Add all remaining ingredients and mix 10 secs/speed 5
5. Scrape down sides of mixing bowl with spatula, Mix a further 10 secs/spped 5
6. Pour prepared cake mix into prepared cake tin. Bake 25 - 35 mins or until a skewer inserted comes out clean
7. Alow to cool completely before icing or storing in an airtight container.
Tip
Ice with your favourite icing or ganache.
Cake may be sliced horizontally for jam and cream to be placed in the between the layers
Vanilla cake is so versatile and many other flavours can be created by replacing vanilla essence with other essence flavours. Food colouring may also be added but only add 1 teaspoon as to not upset the cakes balance.
