Ingredients
Fig Honey Almond Tart
- 180 g almonds, to be milled into almond flour
- 165 g sugar, to be milled into castor sugar
- 1 tablespoons orange peel, to be grated with castor sugar
- 1 tablespoon Lemon peel, to be grated with castor sugar
- 75 g plain flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 130 g unsalted butter, softened
- 1 tsp Vanilla Paste
- 3 eggs
- 60-80 g honey, heated
- 80 g flaked almonds
- 6 Figs, quartered

- Add sugar, lemon and orange peel to TM bowl, 10 secs speed 7, set aside in a separate bowl.
Add almonds to TM bowl, 10 seconds Speed 9 then add to the TM bowl the palin flour and baking powder and blend for
5 secs speed 4 and set aside into a second bowl - Creaming
Attach butterfly whisk
Add soft butter, the castor sugar and peel mix and the vanilla paste. 3 mins speed 4
Scrape down side and repeate
3 mins speed 4
Within the last 30 secs add the 3 eggs one at a time until well combined. - Folding
Remove whisk and fold in almond flour and flaked almonds using spatula - Prep and bake
Carefully pour into a 26-28cm greased round fluted loose-bottom tart tin and place fig quarters into the almond filling pressing down slightly cook for 40-45 mins in 160 degree oven.
Whilst still hot brush with the honey.
