Ingredients

Rice Pudding

  • 440 grams arborio rice, or medium grain
  • 1800 litres Milk of choice
  • 200 grams cream, optional
  • 100 grams sugar
  • 3 level tsp Vanilla Bean Paste
  • 2 level tsp cinnamon

Optional:

  • 2 level tbsp cacao powder, raw
  • 4 --- Stewed Apples, OR fruit of choice eg: banana, berries, mango

Recipe's preparation

    Rice Pudding Steps
  1. Rinse rice in water until clean.
  2. Add rice and milk to bowl with vanilla paste and cinnamon (or chocolate cacao powder).
    Cook for 40 minutes / 98º / speed soft / reverse blade.
  3. Add cream and sugar.
    Cook 5 minutes / 90º / speed soft / reverse blade.
  4. Allow rice to sit for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
    The time will vary depending on the type of rice that was used.
    Optional: Prepare fruit of choice.
  5. Once the milk/cream is absorbed, serve with a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar and fruit.

Tip

For sugar free use xylitol or sugar alternative of choice.

Serve with fruits of choice (e.g. apple, berries, mango, banana).

Arborio is the preferred variety of rice for this recipe but medium grain also works.

Chocolate rice pudding: add 2 tbsp cocoa powder, to taste and proceed as per recipe.

Dairy free option: use coconut or nut milk and cream of choice.

    If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
