I'm cooking this today

Recipe's preparation

(Cook Sausages if you don't have leftover ones)
  1. Describe the preparation steps of your recipe

  2. If you haven't got any leftover sausages to use you can cook them first in the Thermomix as follows -

prick sausages and place in TM basket.

Cover with water and add 1 tbsp of white vinegar (optional). Cook 10mins/100 degrees/speed 2.

  3. CURRIED SAUSAGES
  4. Chop onion and apple 3sec/speed 7.

Add curry powder, butter and oil and saute 2mins/varoma/speed 1.

Add stock and water and bring to boil 5mins/varoma/speed 2.

Add sausages, cubed potatoes and cornflour (disolved in a little water) and cook 10mins/100 degrees/Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" /speed 1 until sauce thickens, potatoes cook and sausages warm through.

Place in Thermoserver to keep warm while you cook the rice and veggies.

  5. RICE & VEGGIES
  6. Place rice in TM basket and cover with water (about 1mm above the rice, don't put too much over or you will have gluggy rice)

Place Varoma on top of TM bowl and fill with veggies. (depending on the type of veggies you have you may add the faster cooking ones later and the longer cooking ones upfront. For example corn will take longer than diced carrots so will need the full 16mins but the carrots may only need 7mins so put in half way through the cooking)

    Cook 16mins/Varoma/speed 4.

    Serve with Curried Sausages.

This was amazing. It  reminded me of the fantastic curry my grand mother made. I cooked the sausages in the Veroma prior to cooking, and cooked the curry with the mc off and basket on. Thanks for sharing loved it

I usually use a Masterfoods sachel for the sauce but decided to cook from scratch with this recipe.... AMAZING!!

Cory and Ella both went back for seconds. Was delicious, no where near as salty as the packet mix. Really nice. I

wasnt too sure about boiled sausages but dont think I will be cooking them any other way from now on. DELICIOUS. the sauce was beautiful.

I give it 10/10 and will definitely be cooking this dish again. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Asho thanks for your comment i have made a note on the recipe as my stock is made on half salt forgetting that others may have made their stock with the full qty of salt

I found this recipe a little salty, I used carrots instead of potatoes. Would probably halve stock next time.

Found this recipe by accident on Facebook. Inspired me to join the community page. Was so easy to make and really tasty. What I liked the most was it has typical ingredients to have in cupboard so didn't need to do a shopping dash! Fed my whole family and even my fussy kids loved it! Can vary this recipe as well. EXCELLENT!
