Ingredients

meatballs

  • 500g Beef mince, i have used pork or chicken
  • 1 small brown onion, peeled and quartered
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 parsley, small bunch
  • 1 herbs, basil/chilli or rosemary
  • 50g brown rice, grind in tmx set aside

sauce

  • 1 can chopped tomatos
  • 1tbs tomato paste
  • 1/2 red capsicum dice
  • 1 Brown Onion Halved
  • 1 garlic clove

Recipe's preparation

    meatballs
  1. chop onion,garlic,herbs 3sec speed 5 add tbs olive oil and cook 3mins/veroma/speed2 no mc

     

    add mince and brown rice  mix on reverse speed 3 till combined

     

    roll into balls and put in veroma trays

  2. add onion,garlic chop 3sec /speed5 scrape down add capsicum and cook 3mins/veroma/speed2/rev

     

    add tomato and fill tomato can with water add that as well and paste

     

    put veroma in place and cook 20mins/veroma/speed 2/rev

    put meatballs into thermoserver and pour sauce over

Tip

I use season with salt and black pepper so add to taste we also love chilli,i usually serve with a little parmesan cheese on top

    Yummy, thanks.  I searched for "pork mince" recipes after I couldn't find the pork sausages I wanted at the shops and instead brought home mince that was on sale.  So glad I stumbled across this recipe.  The whole family loved it and thought it made a pretty special lunch for a Saturday.

    A quick and easy varoma meal.  I added grated zucchini and carrot to my meatballs.  Next time I'll play with the flavours a bit.

    Loved this!

    we used pork and it was delicious. I made small tweaks to the sauce - a 700gram jar of passage instead of tin tomatoes and 100mls of water, a tbspn of EDC vegetable stock, a splash of balsamic vinegar and a little coconut sugar to cut the acidity. Definitely on the make again list.

    tmrc_emoticons.)  my whole family loved this recipe. Children aged 9,7 and 4 devoured it!! Hubbie loved it too - very easy to make too. I will make more meatballs though as they went quickly! Thank you.
