I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
Add onion (peeled & cut in half) to bowl - chop for 5 sec / Sp 5
If you're trying to hide the onion from the kids, scrape down the sides and blitz again for smaller onion.
Place water in cleaned bowl. Add simmering basket.
Add vegies to the varoma - hard vegies in the Varoma Dish (carrots etc) and softer vegies (peas, corn, brocolli) in the varoma tray
Put Varoma in place & Cook 30 mins / Varoma / Speed 4
Once the vegies have started, you can start cooking your rissoles now - either on the BBQ or in the frying pan - they should take about 20-25 mins, depending on how thick you made them.
Once vegies are finished: if you wish to serve your potato as mash - set varoma aside on top of Thermoserver (half full of boiling water) & the steam will keep the varoma warm.
Remove simmering basket from bowl and empty water out. Attach butterfly.
Tip potatoes back into the bowl. Add salt, pepper, milk & butter
Set to 7 sec / Speed 4. Keep an eye on the texture of your mash and mix for longer for smoother mash.
Serve immediately with rissoles & other vegies. They're yummo with gravy too! ENJOY!

Recipe is created for
TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Lovely recipe. We had them tonight. Hubby was very chuffed as rissoles are not a dish I would normally make. Would love to know how this could be adapted- rissoles cooked in gravy rather than making gravy separately. Any ideas would be appreciated. Will be making again. Thank you.
Very moist and tasty. Everyone wanted seconds
