This was delicious, a real hit! I used 2 small onions, added a rasher of bacon and used thermo vegetable stock paste, and I added them with the onions to cook, together with a tablespoon of caramelised balsamic vinegar, and 1 Teaspoon sugar. After letting it cool I then added a good tablespoon each of Parmesan cheese and sour cream together with the cream cheese. Will definitely be making this again. My daughter loves French onion dip and she said it tastes as good as the bought one.
Didn't like this one at all. It was bitter. I took it to a party and the hostess tried it and commented that she didn't like it either. It came home uneaten. What a waste of all that cream cheese.
Very tasty dip. Added 1 rasher of diced bacon with onion, and blob of sour cream at the end.
I've never commented on a recipe before but had to let people know this is delish!
I only used 1 medium onion plus added a large blob of sour cream. Perfect consistency and taste.
Absolutely gorgeous.
This is a beautiful dip, the first homemade French onion dip I've liked. I added a rasher of bacon with the onion, and a teaspoon of parmesan before mixing and it tastes amazing!
A go to recipe when entertaining guests. Always a hit!
Just delicious
Thank you from Thermomishes
Unfortunately this just wasn’t to my liking. I am used to store bought French Onion dip, and this is one of the few Thermo recipes that I don’t prefer over something mass produced. Sorry 😐
Soooo yummy! I make this once a week it’s so good. I have to make some for my neighbours as they love it so much too! Even better after a day in the fridge.
