Ingredients

Keto Ketchup

  • 400 g tomato passata, or pureed tomatoes
  • 70 g tomato paste
  • 30-40 g powdered erythritol, 2-3 tablespoons; adjust to taste. Swerve Brown sugar replacement could be a nice touch.
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar, (or white vinegar)
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt, More if needed
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika, Optional but recommended for extra depth)
  • 1 dashes Cayenne or chili, Optional for mild heat

    Instructions
  1. Place all the ingredients into the Thermomix bowl.
  2. Secure the lid and blend for 10 seconds / Speed 5 to combine the ingredients into a smooth mixture.Blend"Blend" Closed lid"Closed lid"
  3. Cook for 15 minutes / 100°C / Speed 2. This will help the flavors meld together and thicken the ketchup slightly.Slow Cooking"Slow Cooking"
  4. Taste & Adjust
    After cooking, carefully taste the ketchup.
    If you prefer it sweeter, add a little more erythritol.
    If you want a thinner consistency, add a small splash of water and blend again (5 seconds / Speed 3).
    Adjust salt or vinegar if needed.
  5. Blend to Desired Consistency (Optional) If you want it extra smooth, blend for an additional 10 seconds / Speed 6.(Be cautious with hot liquids in the Thermomix—ensure the measuring cup is in place and the lid is secure.)Blend"Blend"

Tip

Store
Transfer to a sterile, airtight container or jar. Let it cool, then store in the fridge. It should keep well for up to 2 weeks.


Tips & Notes

Sweetener Choice: Erythritol is a common keto-friendly sweetener, but feel free to substitute with monk fruit (2 tbsp) sweetener or allulose if you prefer.
Spice It Up: For extra heat, add a dash of cayenne pepper or a few drops of your favorite hot sauce.
Thickness: The ketchup will continue to thicken slightly as it cools. If it’s too thick once cold, stir in a bit of water.
