Mexican salsa
- 700 g water
- 3-4 red tomatoes, cut into halves
- 3 jalapeños
- 1 tbsp Ground Coriander
- salt, to taste

Place water into mixing bowl and insert simmering basket with tomatoes and jalapenos. Cook 10 min/Varoma/speed 2.
With the aid of spatula remove simmering basket and drain water. Allow mixing bowl to cool down.
Place cooked tomatoes, chillies, coriander and salt into mixing bowl and pulse Turbo/4-5 times.
Store in jar in refrigerator.

Tip
Mexican scrambled eggs: Cook scrambled eggs as usual, before eggs get firm, add salsa and let it cook with the eggs, add a little bit of hot water, salt and pepper

Taste great but will try a couple of variations next time
Made this tonight to go with our taco's. I added one onion, 2 cloves of garlic and 1 red capsicum which I chopped on turbo 3 times before adding the cooked tomatoes to the bowl. Turned out great and went down a treat with the homemade tortillas and mexican beef. Thank you
Made this tonight as one of the first things made using my new Thermomix - love it! I used two jalapeños and the heat depends on whether you remove the seeds and/or the white membrane.

Hi, when using 3 jalapenos does this make it "mild" or "medium" ?? Txs
I added 1 clove of garlic & 1 small onion to step one great stuff!
Added red capsicum to step 1 and a chopped red onion before blitzing - beautiful dip
I also added in some green capsicum and red kidney beans to the first step and it turned out great!
