Ingredients

Spaghetti Sauce

  • 1 onion, Large
  • 3 cloves garlic, Peeled
  • 50 grams Lean Shortcut Bacon Diced
  • 30 grams Olive Oil.
  • 1000 grams minced meat (beaf, or pork and beef combination)
  • 3 --- bayleaves
  • 1 teaspoon dried italian herbs
  • 1-1/2 heaped teaspoon Massel Chicken Stock Powder, Gluten free
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt and white pepper
  • 140 grams tomato paste
  • 400 grams tin diced tomatoes
  • 90 grams white wine, Optional
  • 120 grams water
  • 1200 grams water, For Spaghetti
  • 1-1/2 teaspoon salt, Optional
  • 320 grams spaghetti, Or Pasta of you choice. I use Fettuccine

Recipe's preparation

    Sauce
  1. 1. Add Quarted onion and Garlic in TMX

    2. Chop Speed 8 for 8 Seconds

    3. Add Bacon and Olive Oil

    4. Saute 3mins /120c/ speed 1

    5. Add mince meat, bayleaves, Italian Herbs, Chicken Stock Powder, Salt and White Pepper. reverse 100c / 20mins / Gentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting" MC off, sit Simmering Basket on lid to stop splatter

    6. Add Tomato Paste 5mins / 100c / Gentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting" reverse with MC off and simmering basket on lid

    7. Add Tin diced tomatoes, White Wine if using, 150grams water, MC off with simmering basket on lid reverse 30mins / 100c / Gentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting"

    8. Put in Thermoserver to keep warm while cooking pasta.

    PASTA

    1. Place 1200grams water in mixing bowl and bring to boil 12mins / 100c / speed 1

    2. Add Salt if using and dried spaghetti through hole in mixing bowl lid and cook 15mins / 100c /reverse speed 1 or until al dente.

Tip

if you have chicken stock paste add 1 tablespoon as well

    If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
    For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid.     This is a delicious pasta sauce recipe!  I made it vegetarian by adding veggie casserole mince, omitted all meat products and used my own vegetable stock.  I loved it but even my meat eating husband loved it, which was a plus for the recipe.
