30sec speed 4
scrape down sides and do 10sec speed 6
add water up to just below the 2L mark

blitz it for 30sec speed 9
add carton of sour cream and mix 30 sec speed 7 until reaches desired consistency.
pour into thermosever
when serving, cheese can be added.
Shrek Soup
Tip
If you want to make this without doing the TM stock beforehand just add 1TB TM stock with the water.
My kids wanted the cheese with it and all came back for seconds!
We called it Shrek soup because it looks a bit like something he'd eat - or bathe in! And the name was the winner for the kids trying it!

Very nice, I added dieced mushrooms at the end and cooked it for another two min, aand used cream cheese instead of sour cream!
I'm on a diet, so I followed it to a tee except left out the sour cream and cheese, it's still lovely and tasty and nice and thick and creamy
If i don't have 1 portobello mushroom, how many normal button mushrooms can i use ? TIA
Hi Steffie,
did you fill the bowl up with veggies first then add water? I can only think the ratio of water/veggies was a bit off?? Not sure. Hope it works better next time!
mine was really really watery I couldn't eat it tried adding more veggies and corn flower no luck what did I do wrong?
This was fantastic! So quick and so easy and was very yummy! I'll def make this again!
this time I added 100g cream cheese instead of the sour cream - yum!
Definitely going to give this one a go. My kids will eat soup with some prompting but it's just about the only thing they complain about and that we have to keep prodding them along with. Hopefully serving them 'Shrek soup' will make them more interested!!!
