Tip

My children aren't so keen on the curry flavours , so I resorted to sweet chilli sauce and it turned out quite nice and falvourfull.  For much younger members of family , I added some left over mashed potatoes and an egg to the mix before frying up the batches.  This hardened the cakes and made handling easier for the young ones and made the flavour quite mild for their young palate.

Spot on. This is exactly what I needed.  I made your initial recipie with half the batch and then added your "child friendly" ingredients of potato & an egg to the second half of the batch.  Both are really yum.  Thanks for sharing.  Living in a fishing town.... this is now my go to recipie. Thanks so much.
