150g rolled oats

- Preheat oven to 180°.
Place 1 Apple (cut into quarters) & 1 carrot (cut into 2-3cm pieces) in mixing bowl. Grate on speed 5 for 8 seconds.
Weigh 150 g of plain flour, 150g rolled oats in mixing bowl. Place 2 eggs & 3 tbs peanut butter in mixing bowl. Kneed for 2mins.
Place dough onto lightly floured thermomat. Press dough out so it's 1-2cm thick. Cut with cookie cutter and place onto baking tray.
Glaze with a little egg white or water.
Bake in oven on 180° for 15 minutes or until golden brown
Cool on baking rack.
Store in fridge or air tight container. Use within 3-4 days.

Tip
*Be sure to remove all apple seeds as they're toxic to dogs.
*If dough is a little sticky, add a little extra flour.

My pup and her friends love these.
I've just made my 4th batch. I find these too wet so rather than working it into a sheet I mould each to shape with wet fingers. This way I don't need an egg/water wash at the end.
I bake them much longer, 40+ mins until they are hard. Although they always seem to be puffy and hollow in the middle, making them appear soft, they are dry.
I now freeze them after cooling them down and treat my pup the frozen cookie, she gets a cookie a day as a treat and they last for so long before I make another batch!
I just wish the batter wasn't so sticky!
I made these again at the end of the year for Boris' birthday. I forgot to freeze this batch, but they kept in the fridge for about 14-20 days. I had cooked them until fairly hard and dry.
So easy to make, my dog loves these biscuits, cook until hard then leave in oven to cool. Thank you for the recipe. ✅ ✅ ✅
I followed what Susie said and cooked them for much longer (about 40 mins total). They were still a bit soft in the middle, but Boris approved! I made them for his 1st birthday. Will make again, worked out the batch cost just under $3 and I got 15 biscuits (14 using an egg ring and 1 hand cut bone) and some scraps of dough for the chickens too!

So easy, all the family dogs love them. I leave mine in the oven much longer and even while the oven cools down so they become much harder and better for the dogs' teeth.
So easy and the dogs loved them. I was even able to shape into a number as I Dont have a cutter and I'm in lockdown. Dogs birthday is tomorrow and these will decorate their cake.
This was a super easy recipe to make, just had to add a little more flour, but this was because I did a double batch. Dogs loved them! Credit to creator.
