I had the same problem with caramel not setting ☹️
This is amazing, my family request it every time!
booragal:Hi Tam. To be honest, I haven't tried again! It wasn't a good experience and scared me off. 😩
This was a crowd pleaser. I made it while camping! So easy & delicious😋
Tam Andrews: Did you end up solving the problem with the runny caramel? I've had the same problem. I left my pie in overnight and it still ran all over the place.
I've had the same problem as others. My caramel didn't set at all and ran out all over the place. I left mine in the fridge overnight too.
Best Banoffee Pie Recipe
The recipe was so easy to follow and it turned our tasty and delish!
Mwah xxx
I have made this several times - always a hit - have found it works better with condensed milk that I have had in the cupboard for awhile
Hi Tam
It will thicken, just give it time to cool.
This is a great tasting pie but my caramel also didn't thicken up enough even after an extra 3-4 mins. When I cut the pie, it started to ooze out. So I'm guessing I may need to just keep cooking for longer - also wondered if it should have been cooked without the mc in place. I think I remember doing fudge without the mc. Anyway, if anyone has solved the problem here, would love to hear from you! Thanks for the recipe!!
