Ingredients
Double Choc Chip Cake
- 220 g raw sugar
- 50 g cocoa powder
- 250 g SR flour
- 3 eggs
- 220 g Butter
- 375 g Milk
- 85 g choc chips dark
- 85 g choc chips milk
Fudge Frosting
- 350 g raw sugar
- 75 g water
- 100 g Butter
- 40 g cocoa

Prepare a 10 inch round springform cake tin - line top and sides with baking paper
place sugar into tm bowl and mill 10secs sp9
add cocoa powder and flour mix 5 secs sp 8
add butter, eggs and milk and mix 20-30secs sp7
add choc chips and stir on 10secs "Counter-clockwise operation" sp3 with aid of spatula
pour batter into lined cake tin and bake 45mins 180deg C
place 200g sugar into TM bowl and mill 1 min sp 10
set aside
place remaining sugar and cocoa into tm bowl and mill 10sec sp 10
add butter and water and cook 10mins 90deg sp2
mix in icing sugar and place in fridge to cool
mixture will set to be quite firm
return to tm bowl and mix 1min 37deg sp 5
spread onto cooled cake

Beautiful, large cake, perfect for a birthday. I used 160 fan for 45-50 minutes. Thanks for sharing
Not sure what I did wrong! I followed the recipe exactly and my cake cracked and fell apart when I took it out of the tin!
Great recipe! Very moist, great chocolate flavour but not insanely rich. Icing is delicious - only changed I made was using Frangelico instead of water
Hi - what size eggs do you use?

side note : this recipe works equally well if you reduce the sugar in the cake batter to 170g
the frosting needs the amount of sugar listed to create the correct consistancy
