I'm cooking this today

Recipe's preparation

  1. 1. Preheat oven to 180°C. Grease a 26cm ceramic or cast iron pie dish with butter or oil spray

    2. Insert butterfly whisk into TM bowl. Place eggs, castor sugar and syrup in bowl. Wisk approximately 4 mins/speed 4 until thick and fluffy

    3. Place all other ingredients into TM bowl and mix for 30 secs/speed 5

    4. Pour into prepared pie dish and bake for 45 minutes. After 20 minutes, cover loosely with foil if necessary so the top doesn’t burn. The pie should be just set and still a little wobbly

    5. Allow to cool slightly, then drizzle over extra golden syrup. Slice and serve

Tip

The top of the pie looks burnt but it's not, that is the syrup on it

    TM 6
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
