Ingredients

Chocolate ganache filling

  • 100 g choc bits
  • 40 g thickened cream

Dough

  • 60 g Butter, chopped, at room temperature
  • 70 g brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 50 g golden syrup
  • 150 g SR flour
  • 80 g dessicated coconut
  • 40 g rolled oats
  • dash vanilla extract

Recipe's preparation

    How to: Ganache
  1. 1. Add chocolate to the Closed lid"Closed lid" and blitz sp9/10secs, or until finely crushed. Scrape.

    2. Melt together 60°C/2mins/sp1, until melted.

    3. Set aside to firm up a little.
  2. Dough and assembly.
  3. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
    Line/grease a large baking tray.

    1. Blend butter and sugar sp4/20secs. Scrape.

    2. Add remaining ingredients sp4/20 secs, using spatula to assist if necessary.

    3. Roll tspn sized balls onto the prepared sheet and flatten slightly with a fork. You should get 18-20 pieces.

    4. Bake 12-15 mins until golden and cooked.

    5. Cool on a wire rack before joining the pairs together with the prepared ganache.

    Oops.. can't believe so may people have made them and not commented on the omission 😆 It's been a long time so I can't re- check my original notes but perhaps if you copy the directions for the chocolate ganache in the BCC you can follow that 🤷‍♀️

    So just made these yummy Kingston biscuits with Nutella instead of ganache. I think there’s a lot of biscuits so I might try and flatten my dough a little more next time, very yummy
