Ingredients

Brownies

  • 190 grams butter, soft unsalted, room temperature
  • 190 grams dark chocolate, best quality
  • 3 eggs, large at room temperature
  • 1/2 level teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 250 grams caster sugar
  • 1/2 level teaspoon salt
  • 150 grams walnuts, chopped
  • 110 grams plain flour

variations

  • 150 grams dried fruit and nuts, your choice - not pistachios
  • 100 grams dried blueberries

Recipe's preparation

    Brownies
  1. set oven 180 degrees fan forced

     

  2. mill sugar 10 seconds speed 9 (set aside)

  3. place walnuts in TM bowl, Closed lid"Closed lid" lid, turbo once to chop

  4. Mill chocolate 5 seconds speed 7

  5. add all other ingredients; butter, eggs, vanilla, sugar, flour,  walnuts (or other fruit and nuts) and salt.

  6. mix 20 seconds speed 6 reverse

  7. pour into pan

  8. Bake in oven for 25-31 minutes, check that the top looks crackled and mix does not run or move before taking out of oven., every 2 minutes  count so check regularly.

    will set more inside tin when cooling, but do not take out of oven while mixture is still runny.

    Thank you so much sylvia for alerting me to this. Sorry it took me so long to check and change the recipe.  I apologise to anyone who has attempted this recipe, it is my favouite and we do it all the time but some how when i wrote it up i forgot to include the 110gm plain flour and had written 1/2 tablespoon instead of 1/2 teaspoon of salt!  So so sorry!!! Please try it again as it really is an amazing, extreamely decedent brownie.

    tmrc_emoticons.~ I love brownies. Found this one a bit strange. Added 100g sr flour and 20g cocoa and an extra egg. Much better!
