  • 150 grams plain flour
  • 30 grams sugar
  • 90 grams Butter, Roughly chopped
  • 1-2 tablespoons water

Jam filling

  • 1 Cup of jam, Your favourite

Recipe's preparation

    Dough
  1. Preheat oven to 180c. Grease approximately 20 mini muffin pans.

    1. Place all ingredients in Closed lid"Closed lid" , but only 1 tablespoon of water.

    2. Blitz on speed 4 / 20-30 seconds. Add extra water if mixture is too dry and blitz again.

    3. on a lightly floured surface ( or silicone mat ), roll out dough to about 3mm thickness.

    4. Using a cutter or glass ( about 6cm diameter ), press out circles. Gently push into prepared muffin cases. Re-roll when necessary. Prick bases once or twice with a fork.

    5. Bake in preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until golden. 

    6. Once baked, gently place on a cooling rack.

  2. Jam ( confiture ) filling.
  3. Place jam in a small saucepan. Bring to boil stirring with a wooden spoon.

    Spoon approximately 1 teaspoon of the hot jam into each tartellete case. 

    Leave to set...Enjoy!

Tip

The pastry base of these tarts is beautifully buttery and short.

The beauty of these tarts is that because you add the jam AFTER baking...none of it bubbles over and makes a mess..
