- 1200 grams Apple or fruit of your choice, peeled, cored and roughly chopped
- 2 bananas, broken into pieces
- pinch ground cinnamon, to taste can leave out
- 1/2 lemon juice only

Peel, core and roughly chop apples, add to TM bowl
Peel bananas and cinnamon (optional) Add to TM bowl
Cook for 12 minutes / 100C / speed 2.
Add lemon juice and puree 1 minute / speed 9 by going slowly up to speed 9.
Set oven to 65 degrees.
Spread thinly onto trays, Tip - not too thick and they will take longer to dry!
Place trays into the oven to dry the puree to fruit strap / leather texture.
Approx 6 hours can take up to 8
Tip
Can use any fruit to make these
Spread the puree over several trays rather than a couple of large trays as your fruit will dehydrate in less time.
If it is a nice sunny day you can place the trays in the sun to dehydrate naturally.

For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. do we have to add the banana? And do you think we could use defrosted frozen berries?
60deg in my oven and they were over done in 2 hours. Turned the first batch into chips and they were all eaten. Second batch I turned the oven off after 15 min and let them dry in the oven. Turned out beautifully.
We leave the peel on. Just wash thoroughly, maybe do a vinegar & water soak/gentle scrub.
This time we made 'plain' apricot. Thank you for the recipe
kdsauer: I make a similar recipe from a book I have (had to search this time because we are between houses and my recipe book is at the wrong house!) and it doesn't say to peel them so I never have. They always turn out great and my 4 year old loves them.

Hi I'm wondering if the fruit HAS to be peeled or if you can leave it on. Might change the texture but has anyone tried leaving the skin on?
