I'm cooking this today

Recipe's preparation

    Omelette Base
  1. Place all base ingredients into the bowl and whisk for 10-20 seconds on speed 3 Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation"

Line the varoma tray with wet baking paper and pour the egg mixture on top

Rinse the bowl and fill with 1L of water

Assemble varoma add fillings and cook for 15 min varoma speed 3 (time may depend on number of eggs used and how you like your eggs cooked)

  2. Regular Breakfast Filling
  3. Arrange all the toppings over the egg mixture and cook

  4. Smoked Salmon and Goats Cheese Filling
  5. Arrange the smoked salmon and goats cheese over the egg mixture and cook

At conclusion of cooking leave the varoma in place, add the baby spinach then fold the omelette in half, and put the lid back on for a few minutes to rest - the spinach will wilt inside with the heat.

Tip

I use pre-boiled water which reduced the cooking time

I will sometimes add halved tomatoes seasoned with salt and pepper and topped with grated parmesan the varoma bowl and steam them at the same time as the omelette

    Recipe is created for
    TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Perfect omelette! It is requested every morning by my 6 and 3 year olds!

Thanks for the questionn.  The cooking time is the same no matter what fillings you put in as it's the eggs that need to cook, which is stated in the method for the base, 15 min varoma tmrc_emoticons.)  then follow the instructions for which ever filling you like, or use whatever you have in the fridge, which is what I usually do!
