Recipe's preparation

  1. Place all the ingredients into TM mixing bowl. Combine 6 seconds/Speed 6.

    Knead for 90 seconds/Closed lid"Closed lid" /Dough mode"Dough mode"

Remove from bowl, place onto Thermomat (no need to flour or oil Thermomat). May look a little crumbly, this is ok. Squeeze together and roll out into long roll. Divide into 16 portions and form into balls.

Roll out each ball into circular wraps.

"Dry Fry" in non-stick frypan (ie no oil). Flip over and ensure both sides are evenly cooked. Use the back of an eggflip to press down any bubbles that appear.

Tip

Cooked wraps freeze really well! No need to seperate each one. Leave out for a few minutes before eating or reheat as required.

Can be eaten hot or cold.

Fantastic warm with currries!

Perfect for taco's (instead of taco shells). Great for school/work lunches with cold meats and salad. Use what ever fillings you like!

Sorry to hear they didnt work for you. If you use proper ATTA flour they should not crack. You can make bigger sized wraps if you like tmrc_emoticons.;-) I find my family likes the size it makes when I divide into 16, however you can just divide into less. I divide the dough into half, then those peices into half, and those into half etc. They are such a hit with my family, hope you give them another go tmrc_emoticons.-)

just made them & tasted good but were too brittle for wraps - cracked when we tried to roll. any tips pn what i may have done wrong? thanks

Hi renred, immediately after cooking I always cover my plate of wraps with cling film or a clean tea towel. I have never experienced cracking, this may be why? I can't stand it when wraps crack!  tmrc_emoticons.;-)

EDIT: It could have been the flour. I always use ATTA flour rather than normal wholemeal..have updated the recipe. Hope you try again and enjoy this time! xx

Using 'Atta Flour' makes the biggest difference. I've amended the recipe and removed 'Wholemeal Flour'. It can still be used, however the wraps arent as soft! Atta flour is a much finer flour and can be found in most supermarkets.  tmrc_emoticons.;)
