Recipe's preparation

    caramel popcorn
  1. Preheat oven 200 degrees. Line baking tray with baking paper put aside.

Put brown sugar, golden syrup, butter, salt and cream of tartar into bowl. Cook 7 minutes 120 degrees speed 3. Put baking soda in and mix 10 seconds speed 3.5.

Pour over popcorn mix gently to cover.Put onto prepared baking tray and place in oven for 30 mins - stir every 10 mins. Allow to cool down if you can wait that long to eat it tmrc_emoticons.;) store in an airtight container.

Popcorn cannot be popped in the thermie so I used microwave popcorn and it worked perfectly otherwise caramel will cover roughly 5 cups of popcorn.  You could also use honey instead of golden syrup and chopped peanuts are delish in this too tmrc_emoticons.)

    ENJOY tmrc_emoticons.)

Tip

You could use honey instead of golden syrup.  Chopped peanuts are delicious in this

    TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Such a forgiving recipe!! Wasn't paying attention and added too much golden syrup so just cut back on sugar. Then Accidentally added cream of Tartar instead of bicarbonate so had to add that and still tasted good!! Will try next time to make the correct way.
Though 200 degrees in oven too hot.
