Easy recipe and they look yummy! Being sent to school for birthday cupcakes!

Made these for a umptenth time today but was on autopilot ... didn't read the instructrions, just chucked everything in and blitzed. Could have been for 10 seconds, could have been for 100 - was so tired, who knows! Still turned out delicious and most importantly, turned my teenagers from gumpy just-home-from school boys to delightful angels. Well, at least I'm not lying about the cupcakes being awesome!!

Tested this recipe out and the cupcakes were perfect! The instructions were easy to follow and the ingredient list were all the basics you'd have in the kitchen. I'm really impressed how these were moist and were just the right amount of sweetness.

Thanks for sharing the recipe brittanynicholson

I love, love, love this recipe! I use it for birthday cakes, also. tmrc_emoticons.)

Fantastic result. I doubled the mix and added some instant coffee to the boiling water to make it very similar to The Barefoot Contessa's iconic chocolate cake. Doubling worked fine ... just add a few extra seconds to the mixing times. Thank you!

I have made these a few times now, and they are so easy to make and they work every time.

Absolutly yummy and a hit with everyone that has tasted them. Think I will make a batch most weekends. These are the ones I did for a Christmas Party.

These are amazing .... everyone raves about them. I sub butter for the oil in equal quantities and they are perfect every time wether they are made in to mini cupcakes large or even a cake! Thanks! My go to Choc recipe now!

When I saw the ingredient included boiling water I was worried . But these are moist and chocolate. Light with bite but not dense. A good basic chocolate cup cake recipe!
