    Method
  1. 1. Line a square tray 20 x 20cm with baking paper.

    2. Place soaked cashews, dates and 200g coconut flakes in mixing bowl and chop 30 sec/speed 9. Scrape down sides of bowl.

    3. Add remaining coconut and cacao powder and mix 30 sec/speed 5.

     

    4. Press mixture into prepared tray and chill for 2 hours or until set firm. Cut into 16 bars.

Tip

Keep bars in a sealed container in the fridge for up to a week.

    If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
    For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
