Sarah’s Sugar Cookies
- 250 g raw sugar
- 250 g unsalted butter
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- 875 g plain flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder

- 1. Pre-heat oven to 180 degrees.
2. Line baking tray with baking paper.
3. Put raw sugar in mixing bowl and place lid on with MC. Speed 9/5 seconds.
4. Add butter to mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar Speed 4/20 seconds.
5. Add egg, vanilla essence, plain flour and baking powder to mixing bowl. Use the "Dough mode" for 1 minute 30 seconds, add more time if needed.
6. Roll dough into a ball on a floured surface or a dough mat and roll flat with a rolling pin to a 1cm thickness.
7. Use a cookie cutter to cut your round circles.
8. Place cookies in lined baking mat and cook for 9 minutes.
10. Remove from oven and place on cooling rack.

You can leave the cookies plain, add royal icing or use fondant on the top
