I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
1. Place 1000g full cream milk into mixing bowl and heat 25 min / 90•c / Speed 3.
2. Allow to cool down to 37•c (approx. 1 hour)
3. Remove any skin that may have formed.
4. Place a small amount of the cooled milk into a bowl and combine with 120g natural yoghurt. Mix through until no lumps remain. Then add to the main mixing bowl.
5. Add 40g raw sugar
6. Add 2 teaspoons of vanilla bean paste
7. Heat 25 min / 37•c / Speed 28. Pour into air tight jars or thermoserver.
8. Leave to set undisturbed in a completely cool oven for 5-7hours
9. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours before serving.
Tip
- I have found best result for thickness when using the natural Jalna or Five:am brands of yoghurt.
- Use a high protein milk it will make your yoghurt even thicker.
- If using jars make sure they are filled completely to the top or else the yoghurt won't set. Also ensure the jars or containers are completely airtight or the yoghurt won't set thick.

Recipe is created for
TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
