Variation Vanilla Slice

  • 2 sheet frozen puff pastry
  • 750 g Milk, Full cream
  • 80 g sugar
  • 3 --- eggs
  • 3 tsp vanilla extract
  • 75 g cornflour

Recipe's preparation

    Cath’s Vanilla Slice
  1. Preheat oven to 220 degrees celsius.

    Place puff pastry on baking trays and bake in oven for 10-12 minutes until just brown.

    Remove from oven and press down a spatula while still hot to flatten. Allow to cool.

    Add ingredients in order
    Cook on 90 degrees for 7minutes at speed 4.

    Line a 25cm square tin with baking paper, so that it extends up all four sides of the tin.

    Trim pastry sheets to fit the bottom of the tin, and place one in the tin with browned side facing up.

    Pour custard over pastry, spreading it out nice and smooth.

    Place the other pastry sheet on top of custard with brown side done. Trim remaining.
