Not a fan sorry. It just turned the mince into mush and didn't have a lot of flavour.
Cooked this tonight and was a great flavour whilst still being an easy meal - thanks for sharing
wow .. tastes wounderful = family enjoyes it very much & thankyou for sharing
Easy and delicious. A fav in our house
Delicious Simple dish, tweaked a little as per comments. Will make again on a regular basis 😃
Easy chow mein, while it is not bland, it isn’t very flavourful. We added heaps more veggies, and steamed the cabbage on top for the entire cooking time, not just the end. it is a good recipe for kids, Miss 6 did most of the work
Yum!!
Quite possibly the ugliest looking meal I've made but so tasty! And a winner for my kids who need their veg hidden in the meals.
I had an issue with bad scorching on the bottom of the bowl but I had reduced the liquids as per the comments so perhaps that was why? I also upped the seasoning with extra soy, kecap manis and curry powder and still could've gone with more.
I also used only a small amount of cabbage and just popped in the bowl with everything else so it cooked down well.
This made a huge serve so a good budget dinner with staples for those wanting to feed a crowd.
Love the taste. Listened to all advice regarding soy and water and adjusted accordingly. The cabbage doesn't quite cook in the varoma in the time given so I add boiling water to the empty bowl and cook it a bit longer. This helps to clean the bottom of the bowl too.
Great dinner tonight, I added 2 tablespoons of curry powder and a good dash of soy sauce. I used a pod of chicken stock as run out of homemade stock
