Ingredients

Fresh Pasta

  • 3 eggs
  • 300 g plain flour
  • 1 tablespoon oil

Meat Filling

  • 500 g Beef Mince -
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 onion, Quarted
  • 2 cloves garlic, Crushed
  • 1/2 teaspoon herbs eg parsley, oregano and basil
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 250g packet of frozen spinach thawed
  • 1 egg
  • 60 g cream
  • salt and pepper to taste

Bechamel Sauce

  • 500 g Milk
  • 50 g flour
  • 50 g Butter
  • 60 g Cheese cubed
  • salt and pepper to taste

Tomato Sauce

  • 20 g olive oil
  • 1 onion quarted
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 cans tomatoes(400g)
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sugar

Recipe's preparation

    Fresh Pasta
  1. Place all ingredients into TM bowl. Set dial to closed lid position and knead for 2mins onDough mode"Dough mode" .

    Set aside for later. Clean bowl ready for next step.

  2. Meat Filling
  3. Place Onion and GralicClosed lid"Closed lid" chop for 2-3 seconds on speed 6-7

    Add oil and mince cook for 5mins at Varoma temp Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" +Gentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting"

    Add remaining ingredients and cook for 10mins at 100C onCounter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" +Gentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting"

    Set aside until ready to assemble. Clean bowl ready for next step.

  4. Bechamel Sauce
  5. Place all ingredients into Closed lid"Closed lid" and cook for 7mins at 90C on speed 4

    Add cheese mix at speed 7 for 10 seconds then heat for 1min at 90con speed 3

    Set aside Clean bowl ready for next step.

  6. Tomato Sauce
  7. Place all ingredients  into Closed lid"Closed lid" and chop for 10 sec speed 10.

    Cook for 5mins at Varoma temp on Gentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting"

  8. Now placing all together.
  9. Preheat oven 180C

    Roll out pasta in machine to make laagne sheets. Cut to desired size ( usually size of ceramic dish you are using)

    Place enough meat mixture onto each pre cut pasta sheet. Roll until over lapping dough rub with a little water to help stick.

    Place enough tomato sauce at the bottom of dish to cover.

    Arrange cannelloni side by side over tomato sauce

    Poor over bechamel sauce 

    Top with remaining tomato sauce, sprinkle with grated cheese

    Bake for 30mins

    Enjoy!!

Tip

If you don't want to make pasta you can use already made shells.

Also I like alot of white sauce you can halve the recipe if needed.

    I printed this recipe off ages ago but only made it last night. It was yummy and although a little time consuming was definately worth it. I agree it would make sense to make ahead. You need to drain the spinach well though so the meat mixture is not too liquid. I used less bechamel sauce as well.

    We really enjoyed this recipe. It did seem to take a bit of time, but well worth it. Lovely flavours - will definitely make again, but will make the day before or earlier in the day to let the flavours settle and make it easier to serve!!  Thanks for sharing!
