Ingredients
- 1 onion, peeled & halved
- 2 garlic cloves
- 30 grams olive oil
- 500 grams diced lamb
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 400 gram tin of chick peas
- 400 grams fresh tomatoes
- 200 grams water
- 1 tablespoon TM vegetable stock concentrate
- 70 grams pitted dates
- 50 grams tomato paste
- 1 Juice of 1 lime

Step 1Place onion and garlic in the bowl and chop 3 secs, speed 5- add the oil here? possibly dont need the oil?
Step 2 Scrape down sides and sauté 3 minutes, Varoma temp, speed 1
Step 3 Add spices in here and saute for 1 more minute, Varoma temp, speed 1?
Step 4 - Add lamb and cook for 7-12 minutes, 100 degrees, reverse speed soft.
Step 5 Add remaining ingredients except chickpeas to bowl, cook 12 to 15 mins 100 degrees, reverse, speed soft. Then add chickpeas and cook for another 3 to 6 mins, 100 degrees, reverse, speed soft.
Step 6 Allow casserole to rest for 10 -15 mins before serving.
Serve with pasta or rice or couscous (add raisins, flat leaf parsley, pumpkin, maybe even some fetta?) Serve also with chapatis/lebanese bread.
NB Im not sure you need to use oil in this dish?

To answer the cloner, the oil is used to sauté the onions and garlic I believe.
This was ok. I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would but I guess it's the individual's taste. The instructions were also a little uncertain with lots of question marks so wasn't sure exactly what I was doing was right
Great recipe. We left out the chickpeas however it was still great. Wonderful flavour. Thanks!
