Ingredients

Pie Filling

  • 1.5 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, large
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 500 grams lean minced beef
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable stock concentrate
  • 250 grams water
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 175 grams Mushrooms sliced, optional
  • 1 red capsicum, roughly chopped
  • 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped
  • 100 grams frozen peas

Recipe's preparation

    Filling
  1. Place onion, red pepper and garlic into TM bowl Closed lid and chop for 5 seconds on speed 5.

  2. Add oil and saute for 2 minutes on 100 degrees, speed 1. 

  3. Add mince beef and cook for 10 minutes at Varoma temperature on reverse counter-clockwise operation + speed soft Gentle stir setting

  4. Add the vegetable stock and water, parsley, tomato paste, worcestershire sauce, Frozen Peas and mushrooms (if using). Cook for 15 minutes, Varoma temperture on reverse counter-clockwise operation + speed soft Gentle stir setting.

  5. Arrange the meat either in one large dish and cover with mashed potato and dot the topping with  (15g) butter. Cook in a 160 degree (fan forced) preheated oven for 20 minutes.

    Really easy and tasty! I steamed my pots for the mash in the varoma while the meat was cooking, worked out really well.
