Savoury Mince

  • 1 onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 sticks Celery
  • 1 carrot, Grated
  • 1/2 zucchini, Grated
  • 1 parsnip, Grated
  • 1/8 pumpkin, Grated
  • 500 grams lean beef mince
  • 140 grams tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoon TMX stock concentrate
  • 50 grams frozen peas & corn
  • 50 grams corn oil
  • 100 grams water, Optional
  • 1 heaped tablespoon Masterfoods Moroccan spice mix, To taste
  • 40 grams olive oil

Recipe's preparation

    Savoury Mince
  1. 1. Quarter onion, roughly chop celery and add garlic to bowl. Chop speed 7 for 5 seconds 

    2. Add oil and sauté 100 degrees, 2 minutes, speed 2

    3. Add mince, cook 5 minutes, 100 degrees, Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" Gentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting"

    4. Add all remaining ingredients (except peas). Cook further 20 minutes, 100 degrees, Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" Gentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting"

    5. Check within the first 5 minutes that all ingredients are properly combined.

    6. Add the peas in the last few minutes of cooking time.

    7. Serve with mashed potatoes or rice.

    Really enjoyed this simple recipe.

    Would possibly add harrissa paste to recipe to give it a kick and then dollop of natural yoghurt when serving.
