Ingredients

  • 300 g Jasmine rice
  • 50 g celery, roughly chopped, (approx 2 stalks)
  • 150 g carrot, roughly chopped, (approx 2)
  • 250 g zucchini, roughly cut, (large pieces)
  • 60-80 g whole mushrooms, peeled
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 20 g olive oil
  • 200 g chicken breast, chopped or diced, (approx 1 sml)
  • 3 Bacon Rashes, Diced
  • 20-30 g soy sauce, (use GF option if desired)
  • 30 g honey
  • 2 eggs, whisked
  • 100 g Frozen or Tinned Corn
  • 50 g thawed spinach portions
  • 1-2 Spring onion stalks, finely chopped
  • 900 g water

Recipe's preparation

    Not Fried Rice
    • Add water to bowl and washed rice to basket and cook 13-16 minutes on Varoma temperaturespeed 4. Set rice aside in Thermoserver.
  1. Add celery and carrot to bowl and chop 1-2 seconds on speed 9.  Set aside.  (The fine consistency will help the vegetables cook quicker, and also stop little fingers picking bits out.)

    • Add zucchini to bowl and chop 5 seconds  on speed 4.  Set aside with other vegetables.
    • Add onion, garlic and mushrooms to bowl and chop for  1-2 seconds on speed 6.
    • Add oil and saute 2 mins, 100 degrees on speed soft.
    • Add chicken, bacon, soy and honey.  Cook for 4 minutes at 100 degrees on reverse, speed soft.  
      • In the last minute slowly pour in your whisked egg through the lid.
  2. Add all remaining vegetables and mix 1 second, reversespeed 6 to aerate the bottom of the bowl and prevent burning.

    • Cook 2 minutes on 100 degrees, reverse, speed 1.
  3. Pour into Thermoserver and stir through warm rice.  Add spring onion to garnish and leave to rest for 5-10 minutes.

    OMG this was sooo good only had Bacon but as we had marinated Chicken Wings with this it did not matter , Hubby is not fussed on Rice but had 2 huge helpings, we will do this one again and again....Thank you for sharing

    I loved that it has so many vegetables in it but sadly my kids were not fans of the texture- will try again tmrc_emoticons.)

    I added some cooked chicken at the end to heat up as I didn't have chicken breast.  Was awesome.  Went even better the next night with our beef curry Love
