Ingredients

Nectarine BBQ Sauce

  • 1 red onion, peeled and halved
  • 3 garlic cloves, whole, peeled
  • 2 heaped tablespoons smoked paprika
  • 30 grams olive oil
  • 1 heaped tablespoon wholegrain mustard
  • 40 grams Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 nectarines, seed removed, roughly chopped
  • 150 grams Dark Brown Sugar
  • 100 grams apple cider vinegar
  • 400 grams tomato sauce/ketchup (homemade of course!)
  • 100 grams honey
  • 1 teaspoon chilli flakes (optional)
  • Salt & Pepper, to taste

Recipe's preparation

  1. 1. Place onion, garlic, paprika and oil into TM bowl and chop 3 seconds / speed 7.

    2. Scrape sides of bowl and saute 3 minutes / Varoma / speed 1 with MC off.

    3. Add remaining ingredients and cook 35 minutes / 100 degrees / speed 1 with the MC off, and simmer basket on lid in place of MC.

    4. Once sauce is cooked, blend 40 seconds / speed 8.

Tip

Great with chicken or pork.  Use in place of tomato ketchup, on burgers, on a pizza, or as a marinade!

    Very tasty and easy. I have a lot of nectarines to use but they are smaller so i put in 400g nectarines and 400g bottled tomato passata instead of tomato sauce. I also reduced the paprika as I'm not a huge fan (and i ran out lol). But still had a nice flavour and hubby loved it - will make again tmrc_emoticons.).
