Ingredients

Paste

  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 chillies, red fresh
  • 1 onion
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
  • 2 cm piece of ginger
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1 tsp Ground Coriander
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 pinch saffron
  • 1/2 tsp sumac
  • 2 tbsp paprika
  • 2 tbsp tumeric
  • 70 g tomato paste

1 350 ml glass jar

Recipe's preparation

  1. Place onion, garlic, chillies and ginger into Closed lid"Closed lid" . Chop 5 secs on speed 7. Scrape down bowl.

    Add coconut oil. Then add all other ingredients and saute for 4 minutes at 100 degrees/speed 3.

    Spoon into jar and leave to cool.

    Makes for 2-3 meals

Tip

To use as a marinade for chicken/lamb/beef/fish, add 2-3 tbsp into a bowl with 2-3 tbsp of yoghurt and mix well. Cover meat and marinade for 1 hour (or longer).
