    TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

A hit! If your State of Emergency is not at RedAlert, try chopping a clove of garlic in the TM bowl, then adding a peeled onion, chop 5 sec speed 1, add the curry powder from the recipe and a dash of olive oil. Varoma, 5 minutes, soft. Proceed as per recipe, adding a teaspoon or tablespoon each soy sauce and fish sauce (depending on your sodium situation) as well. Prefer not pureed at the end, personally.

I loved this soup although next time I would add more lentils just to thicken the soup. So quick and easy. Great with cream too.

This is a really tasty soup and couldn't be easier. I don't blitz mine, I like the texture with the lentils as they are.

Thank you @Leaps.  I need to try the non-blitzed version myself next time.

Dani Valent's Emergency Lentil Soup - I had been wanting to try Dani's emergency lentil soup for a while, so was pleasantly surprised to see it posted on the Recipe Community! This is a very tasty, very easy and budget-friendly soup. I have tried it with and without blitzing at the end - I probably prefer the non-blitzed version where the lentils are still intact. Thanks for taking the time to post this tasty recipe!
