Potato Soup

  • 55 g Butter
  • 450 g potatoes, diced (peeled if you like)
  • 1 onion
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 cubes chicken stock
  • 50 g powdered milk
  • 1 litres Boiling water
  • 50 g Tasty cheese, diced
  • to taste black pepper, freshly ground

Recipe's preparation

    Potato Soup
  1. weigh out potatoes and pu aside. peel garlic, peel and quarter onion. Process 3 seconds speed 5
  2. add butter and varoma 5 mins speed Gentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting"
  3. add diced potato, stock cube and freshly ground black pepper, and cook 5 mins 100°C speed 2. Boil the jug
  4. add boiling water and cook 15 mins at 100°C speed 2
  5. add cheese and powdered milk and process 1 min speed 8
  6. Recipe addapted from BBC

Tip

add some freshly chopped herbs as a garnish

    Tastes really good but just alittle bland (Note; I used normal milk instead of powdered & only 30g's of cheese as all I had left) Will be retrying this recipe but with more cheese and potentially add in some spices to add more flavour. Thank you heaps!

    sweety678a: thanks. If you use a low GI potato, and skim powdered milk it should be ok in moderation. There are a few varieties claiming to be low GI or low carb. Typically sweet potatoes are low GI.
