Ingredients

Shredded chicken and vegetable soup

  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 bunch parsley, To suit your taste
  • 1 --- red chilli, Remove seeds is preferred
  • 500 g mixed vegetables, (Zucchini, potato, celery, capsicum etc)
  • 2 heaped tablespoons Vegetable stock paste, Or chicken stock paste
  • 1000 g water
  • 2 --- chicken breasts

Recipe's preparation

    Soup
  1. Add Garlic, parsley and chilli to Closed lid"Closed lid" , chop 4sec/sp 7.
    Saute 3min/120°/sp 1.
    Add 500g mixed chopped vegetables (anything needing to be used up in the fridge) to Closed lid"Closed lid" , add veg stock paste to Closed lid"Closed lid" , add water to Closed lid"Closed lid" .
    Cook 35min/90°/Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" spGentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting" .
    Whilst soup is cooking put a cup of water and chicken breasts into a saucepan on the stove, simmer until cooked through. If you have pre cooked chicken, you can skip this step.
    When soup is cooked, transfer to thermoserver.
    Without washing Closed lid"Closed lid" , add chicken and shred 5sec/Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" sp 4.
    Add chicken to soup. Serve Hot.

Tip

To bulk up your soup add in some cooked noodles at the end.

You can add in any spices, vegetables etc that you wish to change the flavour

    If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
    For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
    Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31).
