Ingredients
Choc-orange sandwich biscuits: dough
- 230 g plain flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 120 g Butter, chilled, chopped
- 120 g sugar
- 1 egg
- dash vanilla extract
- 4-6 drops Orange Oil, or 1 tblspn finely grated orange peel
Filling
- 1/2 cup orange marmalade
Chocolate dip
- 200 g choc bits

- 1. Combine flour, baking powder, butter, and sugar, sp7/20seconds.
2. Knead 1 minute.
3. Turn onto a lightly floured board and shape the mixture into 2 discs.
4. Wrap each piece in clingwrap and place in the fridge for 30-60 minutes, until firm enough to roll out.
5. Roll each piece between 2 pcs of cling wrap to app. 3mm thickness.
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
6. Cut into 5cm rounds and place on a greased/lined baking sheet.
7. Bake for 15-20 minutes, until golden on the edges.
8. Leave to cool slightly on the tray/s, before transferring to a wire rack to cool.
9. Filling: Spread 1 tspn Marmalade onto 1/2 of the biscuits and join together with the other 1/2.
10. Chocolate dip: Melt choc bits 50°C/5mins/sp1.5 or until melted. (Tip: Adding a tspn of oil sometimes makes it easier to melt.) Transfer to a cup.
11. Tear off a large sheet of parchment paper and place on the bench.
12. Dip 1/2 of the sandwich biscuit into the chocolate and place on the parchment paper sheet to set. Place in the fridge if it's a warm day.
