Recipe's preparation

    Mill sugar

  2. Place sugar in TM bowl, insert MC and mill 2 seconds, speed 9 to make caster sugar.

  3. Mix
  4. Insert butterfly whisk

Add butter, and vanilla over milled sugar, insert MC and beat 1 min 30 sec/ speed 4 until mixture is light and fluffy. Scrape down sides of TM bowl.  Set timer for another 1 min 30 sec/ speed 4, remove MC and add eggs one at a time through hole in the lid, beating well after each addition. (At least 30 seconds between eggs).

    Add cocoa and mix 10 seconds/speed 3.

Add flour and baking powder and fold in, 15 seconds/speed 1.  Scrape down sides of TM bowl.

Add milk and stir 10-15 seconds/ speed 1 til evenly combined.

Place 18 paper patty cases into patty tins. Spoon mixture evenly into paper cases.

Bake for 15 minutes or until cakes spring back when lightly touched.

    Transfer to wire rack.

    When cold, decorate as wished.

Thermomix Model

    Recipe is created for
    TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
