Recipe's preparation

  1. Prepare a hot oven 250 deg C

    1. Add flour and softened butter to bowl.

    2. Mix 30 secs / speed 4 until mixture resembles breadcrumbs.

    3. Add milk and mix 30 secs / speed 4.

    4. Knead mixture for 1 min 30 secs / Closed lid"Closed lid" Dough mode"Dough mode"

    5. Turn mixture onto floured board, press out flat.

    6. Cut scones using the MC or a scone cutter and place on tray.

    7. Brush top of scones with a little extra milk if you like crunchier scones.

     

    8. Cook in a hot oven for 9-12 minutes until golden.

Tip

Serve hot with jam and cream.

Don't cut your scones break them open instead.

    great result. I think I needed to add a little more milk, so will do next time.
    So easy and quick
    butter and raspberry jam....YUM

    I add half teaspoon of baking powder to this recipe to make sure they rise... a great result every time

    Not good at all!

    i tried to the exact recipe and it was liquid slush.....

    i then tried using only 50ml of milk, better but didn't make many scones at all........

    sorry, not great

    I had to add approx extra 300 g of flour as the mixture was like batter. Turned out fine though with extra flour

    Recipe seems to moist, I burnt my first batch as well....fingers crossed for the second batch!

    thanks for the recipe, but my scones did not turn out like your picture. They still tasted yummy, but looked more like little cakes. Mixture was very sticky and runny, maybe I did something wrong?
