I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
If making your own LSA mix to use in this recipe, do this first. See The Basic Cookbook, (page 81) under Fruit and Nut Muesli.
Place all ingredients in mixing bowl, place the measuring cup (MC) into the mixing bowl lid and TURBO 2 seconds, 3-4 times until desired consistency is reached. This will mean the nuts are still a few mm wide as per photo).
Line a slice tin with baking paper and press mixture into slice tin. Refrigerate until set (approximately 15-30 minutes) then slice into pieces and store in an airtight container in fridge. Enjoy!
Tip
I used half cashews and half pistachios to make the slice in the picture. But you could use whatever you have to hand or whatever suits your preferences.
You could also roll this into balls to create protein balls, and if desired roll in coconut.
I have converted this recipe to thermomix method, however I am unsure of the original source of the recipe.

Recipe is created for
TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

So good! Perfect guilt free sweet snack!
delicious slice , super easy to make
Healthy Slice!
I made the LSA from scratched, 1 tablespoon of Linseeds, 1 tablespoon of Sunflower seeds and 30 grams Almonds. 10 seconds at speed 9.
My coconut oil is always solid after I made the LSA, I added conut oil at 1.30 mins/90 degrees using "Gentle stir setting" . Why use another dish when the Thermomix can do it!
I then followed the recipe but obmitting the 20 grams of protein powder. Once I was done I added 20 grams of pepitas (pumpkin seeds) and just mixed it with "Gentle stir setting" for 30 seconds
The slice tasted like the Aussie Icon kids party treat Chocolate crackles only they are healthy. If you didn't want to make them into slices and like getting your fingers messy, they could be easily rolled into balls and then rolled into shredded coconuts. Thank you for sharing your recipe
Loved this slice! So simple to put together & in the refirgerator in minutes. I didn;t have protein powder so added 20g more LSA instead. I love that it's not very sweet. For those who like a sweeter slice, maybe add just a little more honey or a few more craisins. This is definitely one to hide from the kids. I'd happily take it as a gift as well.
