Ingredients

Quinoa Pastry

  • 90 grams castor sugar, pre-milled from raw
  • 95 grams quinoa flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
  • 60 grams Butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 extra large egg

Lime (or lemon) filling

  • 60 grams Butter
  • 55 grams lime juice
  • 90 grams castor sugar premilled
  • 1 extra large egg

Recipe's preparation

    Quinoa Pastry
  1. 1. Add quinoa flour, baking powder, bicarbonate of soda and butter to milled sugar in TM bowl.

    2. Mix 5 seconds/speed 6.

    3. Add vanilla and egg mixing 5 seconds/speed 5.

    4. Press 2/3 of pastry mix into base of tin, pressing it halfway up side of tin.

    5. Pour hot lime filling over pie and top with small discs of flattened remaining pastry.

  2. LIME FILLING

    1. Add milled sugar, butter, lime juice and egg to TM bowl. 

    2. Insert butterfly and cook 8 mimutes/80C/speed 3.

    So do you then cook this in the oven.? How long for and the pastry seems quite wet (pour instead of press)
