I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
Add all the glaze ingredients to the bowl, if using the chilli, slice it in half lengthways but leave it attached at the stalk, cook 10mins/80deg/"Counter-clockwise operation" /sp"Gentle stir setting"
Leave glaze to cool slightly this will help it thicken and stick better.
Preheat the oven to 160-170 degrees.
To prepare the ham, cut off the skin leaving as much as the fat on as possible. Score the fat in a diagonal pattern. Line a roasting pan with aluminium foil and a sheet of baking paper and place ham in it.
Before glazing the ham disgard the chilli, cinnamon stick, and bay leaves.
Brush the ham all over with the glaze and roast for about 1 and a half hours basting frequently to build up layers of flavour until beautifully golden and crisp.
Glaze and Ham
Tip
This is a delicious Jamie Oliver glazed ham recipe that I make every Xmas and that I've now converted to the Thermomix. Both TM31 and TM5 can be used.
Cooking times and temps may vary depending on the size and sort of ham you choose.
Keep a close eye on the glaze while it's roasting as it will take on too much colour if you're not careful!!!

Delicious
Used this glaze on my Christmas ham and it was delicious! Definitely my go to recipe now. Didn't use chilli cause of the kids but still tasted amazing. Thanks!
Really delicious, super easy.
I made this for Christmas Day and I can't rate it highly enough, everyone thought it was amazing. It was my first attempt at glazed ham and it turned out perfect, I will definitely be making again next Christmas. thanks for sharing and Merry Christmas.
super easy and delicious - thank you!!
This was the first time we have done a glazed ham for Christmas. I must say it was delicious and everyone loved it. Will do it like this every year. Also didn't have whole cloves so I threw in some ground cloves.
Thanks for the recipe.
Yes 2 cloves sorry I missed them out!! I've also just made this ham for boxing day and I was in a real hurry so basically just threw all the ingredients into the bowl and cooked it!! It worked a treat so I've chaged the method to this now as it's so much easier!! I'm glad you all enjoyed the flavours!! Jamie Oliver is my favourite xmas flavour chef!!
I've found the original recipe and it states 2 x cloves ☺️
Dear Catski, are you able to specify the amount of cloves used for this recipe please?
BIL kept asking for more!
Nice glaze, easy to make. Mine didn't have cloves in it though, as ingredient list doesn't list them. Mentioned in method only. Still nice and easy. BIL wanted to pour more on his cooked meat!
